Gayne J. Anacker, Ph.D.
Gayne Anacker is Vice President for Academic Affairs of the C.S. Lewis Foundation, a position he has held, on a volunteer basis for over 18 years, and on a full-time basis since 2009. He is Professor of Philosophy at California Baptist University, where he also serves in academic administration, first as Associate Provost, and most recently as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
He began his career as Professor of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa, CA, and subsequently he became Founding President of Community Christian College in Redlands, CA. Dr. Anacker holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Westmont College, a Master of Theological Studies from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, an M.A. in Philosophy from Washington State University, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of California, Irvine.
Steven Elmore is the President of the C.S. Lewis Foundation.He has a B.A. in English from Pepperdine University and an M.A. in Literature and Film from Claremont Graduate University.Steven has over 20 years of experience working at nonprofit organizations and educational institutions, including serving as a community college adjunct professor (English composition), software instructor (basic to advanced MS Office), GED instructor (science, history), test preparation tutor, and in a wide range of office management and administration roles. His specific skill sets include event management, teaching/training, team leadership, program management, communications strategy, strategic planning, computer technology, and writing.He’s often involved in writing groups, Bible study groups, and book clubs. He is a writer for Cultivating Magazine. On the side, he also helps self-published authors by formatting their books for print and digital publication through the Kindle Direct Publishing platform.

Vishal Mangalwadi, LL.D.
Vishal Mangalwadi is an international lecturer, social reformer, political columnist, and author of fourteen books, including: The Book that Made Your World: How the Bible Shaped the Soul of Western Civilization, The World of Gurus, In Search of Self, India: The Grand Experiment, Truth and Social Reform, Corruption Vs. True Spirituality (with Francis Schaeffer), The Legacy of William Carey: A Model for the Transformation of a Culture (with Ruth Mangalwadi), The Quest for Freedom and Dignity: Caste, Conversion, and Cultural Revolution, and Truth and Transformation.
He was born and raised in India, and holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and English from the University of Allahabad, India; an M.A. in Philosophy from University of Indore, India; and an LL.D. from William Carey International University, Pasadena, CA.
J. Stanley Mattson, Ph.D.,

Stan Mattson is Founder and President Emeritus of the C.S. Lewis Foundation, Redlands, CA and Oxford, England, a work which he began in 1986. He is responsible for leading the development of all the Foundation’s programs, including Oxbridge (the C.S. Lewis Summer Institute conference series in Oxford and Cambridge, England), the C.S. Lewis Study Centre at The Kilns, the Faculty Forum, and the Foundation’s Regional Conferences and Retreats.
Dr. Mattson holds a B.S. from the State University of New York, an M.S. from the University of Wisconsin, and a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, specializing in Intellectual History. He served as the Headmaster for The Master’s School, West Simsbury, CT. Early in his career, Dr. Mattson was a member of the history faculty at Gordon College, MA, and he has also taught at North Carolina State University and, most recently, at the University of Redlands, CA, where he was also Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations.
D. Todd Mattson
Todd Mattson is owner and President of Pro-Line Racing, the world’s leader in the manufacturing and marketing of radio control car accessories. He is active member of Convene, a nation-wide network of local gatherings of CEOs and business owners.
Mr. Mattson earned a B.A. in Economics and Business from Westmont College, Santa Barbara, CA and an MBA from the University of Redlands.

Paul Ford, Ph.D.
Dr. Paul Ford is Professor of Systematic Theology and Liturgy at St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, CA, the seminary of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He was formerly a Benedictine monk at St. Andrew’s Abbey, Valyermo, CA.
Dr. Ford was the first Roman Catholic to earn a doctorate at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA, where he went to study the theology and literature of C.S. Lewis. Dr. Ford holds a B.A. in Philosophy from St. John’s Seminary College, an M.A. in Religion from St. John’s Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Dr. Ford’s publications include Companion to Narnia, eleven entries in C. S. Lewis: A Reader’s Encyclopedia, By Flowing Waters: Chant for the Liturgy, and Words to Live By: A Guide for the Merely Christian, in addition to the liturgical resource CD Sacred Songs for Liturgy & Life: A Psallite Triptych.
