“C.S. Lewis on Post-Christian Culture and Faith” Lecture — Professor Mark Pike

Dr. Mark Pike, a dynamic and exciting British thinker and speaker, has just been appointed as the Head of the School of Education of the 35,000-student University of Leeds, in the north of England, where he leads a faculty of 57. A high school teacher for over a decade, Dr. Pike took his Ph.D. from Southampton University before rising rapidly through the ranks at Leeds. He writes and speaks widely on literary, moral and religious issues in education, and is the author of Mere Education: C S Lewis as Teacher for our Time (Lutterworth Press, 2014), Citizenship and Moral Education: values in action (Routledge Falmer, 2006), Spirituality, Literature and Literacy, (Cerfax Publishing, Taylor and Francis Group, 2004), as well as over 40 book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles.
