Oxford & Cambridge Tours

Given our desire to maximize the experience of Oxford and Cambridge for our registrants, we have arranged for the following tours at a minimal additional cost.

These tour times will not compete or conflict with other Oxbridge programming.  However, space is limited, and these tours will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Oxford Walking Tours

This walking tour of central Oxford will focus on sites related to Lewis, Tolkien, and The Inklings, and will include when possible short visits or photo stops at Magdalen, Merton, University, and Exeter colleges, as well as The Eagle & Child pub.

Physical requirements: Taking this tour presupposes the physical ability to walk briskly and stand for two hours. We will also transverse some uneven cobblestone streets for short segments.

Cost: £5 ; £ 4 for students & seniors over 60s. Cash only to be collected at the beginning of the tour to cover the Magdalen College entrance fee.

All tours will depart promptly from the Keble College Porters’ Lodge. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your tour time so that the cash entrance fees can be collected. We recommend that you bring your Oxford map with you in case you decide to linger at Magdalen College or become separated from the group.
