2011 Vacation with a Purpose in Northfield

Two separate weeks: June 5 - 11 and June 12 - 18, 2011

College PictureThis summer, the C.S. Lewis Foundation and friends will be gathering in Northfield, MA, to anticipate the founding of C.S. Lewis College and to prepare the campus for its new use.

Come join us in fellowship, worship, and service, as we celebrate this historic occasion on the site of what will be America's "Mere Christian" Great Books College!

As a volunteer and participant of Vacation with a Purpose, you will help us prepare the campus through such needed tasks as painting, wallpapering, gardening, cleaning, and taking inventory.

You will also benefit from:

  • A daily evening program, including addresses given by Lewis scholars.
  • Enriching fellowship with fellow volunteers, neighbors from the Northfield community, and fans of C.S. Lewis from across the country.
  • Daily devotions and prayer.
  • Proximity to various historic sites, national parks and forests. Possible activities including kayaking, hiking, swimming, and boating.
  • The joy of living and working on this beautiful and historic campus, the location of Dwight L. Moody's birthplace and homestead and site of several important Christian initiatives, including the Student Volunteer Movement.
Week 1: June 5 - 11
Week 2: June 12 - 18

We invite you to participate in one or both weeks. Online registration click here
