BC-12 — Spiritual Formation: The Long Process of Real Change

Larry Crabb

“They offer superficial treatments for my people’s mortal wound” (Jeremiah 6:4 NLT).  God’s indictment of Israel’s spiritual leaders needs to be taken seriously today, while drawing on the wisdom to develop a model of spiritual formation (how God’s Spirit changes people from the inside out) and spiritual direction (how to facilitate the Spirit’s work in others).  The focus will be on what it means for Christians in community to engage in conversations that matter, that free people to move through internal chaos toward relational holiness that impacts culture.
