Narnian Children’s Track – "Pursuing Prince Caspian: Character Lessons from Narnia"
Led by Amber Salladin and Andrew Lazo

Designed for children ages 7-12 (age exceptions gladly considered on an individual basis!), this program will offer children a chance to engage the writings of C.S. Lewis on their own level in imaginative, creative and faithful ways. So what does that mean? How will that look, you surely ask? So glad you did!

  • Camp Allen - Children's Program
  • Imaginative - Following Lewis’ example of gleefully living the lifeof the mind, we will ask the children loads of questions, letting the answers arise from their own thoughts - "Which characters in the book do you recognize in yourself and others?" "Who do you want to be like?"
  • Creative - In the course of the session, children will participate in a creative activity of their choosing - making up stories based on some of Lewis’ hints in the books, making pictures, or songs, or a little play - the limits in this section will be those of the imagination!
  • kid pic
  • Faithful - After reading from the book, we will explore devotional aspects from the text on a child’s level. We’ll memorize relevant Bible verses and seek ways which we might live out our daily lives as followers of Aslan in our homes and schools.
  • Joyful - We will spend time in song with the children. Whether meant for learning memory verses, performance, or just plain fun, our song time will joyfully reinforce the creative learning experiences encountered at every session.

Our goal is to provide purposeful fun so that we might encourage children to enjoy their reading, to find little life lessons all around them, and to become better followers of Aslan in their own inimitably unique ways!

Narnian Teen's Track – "Live Out Loud! Practicing Faith in a Fallen World"

In The Silver Chair, C. S. Lewis answers a question many young people find all too familiar: the struggle of living out a real faith.  We’ll look at how Eustace, Jill, and Puddleglum offer us practical advice about believing, especially in a hostile environment, and how our smallest decisions can help us lead the kind of life Christ calls us to.  Devotional, practical, even fun, the Narnian Teen's Track is open to students 13-17.  Start reading your copy of The Silver Chair now and join us for the adventure on September 15!

Recommended Version: The Silver Chair – Full-Color Collector’s Edition, Harper Trophy.  ISBN: 0064409457 ($8.99 on Amazon and elsewhere).
