Joseph Pearce picture

Joseph Pearce Widely acclaimed biographer of modern Christian literary figures; author of fourteen books that have been published and translated into over eight languages, including bestsellers G.K. Chesterton: Wisdom and Innocence, Literary Converts, Tolkien: Man and Myth, Solzhenitsyn: A Soul in Exile, and Old Thunder: A Life of Hilaire Belloc. Writer-in-Residence and Professor of Literature at Ave Maria University, Joseph also serves as Editor of the Saint Austin Review, a trans-Atlantic monthly cultural review, and as contributing writer to a number of newspapers and magazines in the U.K., U.S. and Canada; He is also an accomplished tutor, teacher and lecturer.

Stan Mattson picture

Stan Mattson Founder and President of the C.S. Lewis Foundation and Director of the C.S. Lewis Study Centre, Oxford. Inspired by the life and legacy of Lewis, Stan has undertaken the strategic work of encouraging Christian scholarship and artistic expression within the world of higher education. He lectures widely on the life and legacy of C.S. Lewis and related subjects on campuses and churches across the nation. An American social and intellectual historian, Stan previously served as a faculty member of North Carolina State University, Gordon College, and the University of Redlands.

Andrew Lazo picture Andrew Lazo Ph.D. candidate in Modernist British literature at Rice University in Houston, Texas, Andrew is a Jacob K. Javits Fellow in the Humanities, as well as a visiting scholar at the Marion E. Wade Center (Wheaton, IL). He has published several articles and lectures widely on the works of Lewis and Tolkien. Upon receiving his doctorate, Andrew looks forward to lecturing at seminars and retreats across the country. He teaches composition at Houston Baptist University and has taught in and out of the university for several years. He has also taught a highly popular church-based adult education course, exploring the devotional aspects of The Chronicles of Narnia.
Todd Lake picture Todd LakeVice President for Spiritual Development at Belmont University, Nashville, Prior to that, Todd held the position of Dean for University Life at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and co-pastored (with his wife, Dr. Joy Jordan-Lake) an interracial Baptist church in Cambridge, Massachusetts, that was deeply involved in community ministries to the poor, immigrants and prisoners. Lake earned his Ph.D. in systematic theology from Boston College. He has also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay, a legislative aide in California working on bills to protect migrant farm workers, and a summer missionary in Germany and Los Angeles, his hometown. He has taught theology, education and business ethics on both the undergraduate and graduate level, and he is the author of numerous articles on the power of Christian faith to effect societal change.

StillPoint Dance Theatre

Sharon Perry

StillPoint Dance Theatre - a professional modern dance company committed to creating quality and relevant works of art with a motivation to bring reconciliation to families, cultures, nations, and ultimately to man and his Creator. Led by founder and artistic director, Sharon Perry, StillPoint's goal is to reveal the beauty, humor, truth and joy in our lives; to bring awareness of social injustices; and to inspire the imagination for creative peace-making and cultural transformation.


Sharon Perry - artistic director and founder of StillPoint Dance Theatre, Sharon received her B.A. in theatre arts from Virginia Tech and her M.A. in modern dance from the University of Utah.  While living abroad for 11 years in Latvia, she helped develop the first bachelor degree program in contemporary dance in the former Soviet Union at the Academy of Culture of Latvia.  Sharon has also taught modern dance at the Riga Choreography School, the state ballet school for the Latvian National Opera; served as Latvian director of Creative Arts Europe; and directed and founded Selah Repertory Dance Theatre. Recently Sharon served as an artist in residency at Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi and she currently teaches modern dance at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

 

Stacy Jagger pic

Stacy Jagger Singer-songwriter who quietly released her debut album Faded Memories in January 2006, and has since generated industry-wide interest among critics, who describe her work as “a delicate and exquisite mix of country folk, bluegrass and Americana.” Five songs from this album are featured in the award-winning documentary film, “A Journey Home.” A native of Nashville, Stacy has begun to co-write with some of that city’s Grammy award-winning songwriters. With a B.A. in Music from Belmont University, she is also a trained, professional ballroom dance instructor and teacher of voice. Possessed of a heart for communicating a healing message through her life and music, Stacy is a popular speaker and performer for women’s retreats and conferences. Stacy recently won a Lennon Award for 2006 Jazz song of the year in the International John Lennon Songwriting Contest with her song "The Man I Love".


Joe Castillo pic Joe Castillo Artist, author, pastor, and speaker specializing in the presentation of illustrated messages. A successful businessman in advertising for twenty-one years, Joe returned to school, earned his M. Div. in Theology and pastored a church for five years in Kentucky before following a call to pursue his art full time. For the Southeast Regional Retreat, Joe’s illustrations depicting Lewis’ Narnia stories will combine to create a larger portrait of C.S. Lewis.
Jeff Kepple Jeff Kepple A physician/musician who practices Family Medicine and Obstetrics in Quincy, California. Though he is best known for his music inspired by The Chronicles of Narnia, his two releases, God In A Box (2004) and Let It Go (2005) offer an amazing variety of songs and styles, from passionate songs of worship to whimsical tunes about the weather, to story songs about Narnia, his family and patients.
