Dr. Jerry Root - Adjunct Professor of Christian Formation and Ministry, Wheaton College, Illinois. Dr. Root is Co-Editor of The Quotable C.S. Lewis and author of many scholarly articles on Lewis. He has been reading Lewis for 32 years, teaching college and graduate courses on Lewis for 22 years, and has lectured on Lewis in many countries and on three continents. He served as Resident Fellow at the C.S. Lewis Study Centre at The Kilns in Oxford during the summers of 2002, 2003, and 2006. Previously a pastor of three congregations over 23 years, Root clearly exudes a pastoral heart that has deeply enriched the lives of all who have studied with him in the intimate setting of The Kilns.. |
Andrew Lazo — Scholar and speaker. Andrew Lazo holds an M.A. in English from Rice University, where he was Jacob K. Javits Fellow in the Humanities, and a B.A. in English (with Honors) from the University of California, Davis. He also teaches Mythology at the University of Houston. Andrew has published several articles and book reviews on C. S. Lewis and other Inklings and is co-editor of Changed Lives: C. S. Lewis as Spiritual Mentor, forthcoming on Baker Books. A nationally-known speaker on the Inklings, Andrew speaks regularly in churches and schools and at events for the C. S. Lewis Foundation. He is currently working on two book projects, one unlocking the mysteries of Till We Have Faces and the other doing primary research on Friendship in the Coalbiters, Tolkien’s Old Norse reading group. |

Reverend Richard Kannwischer — Senior Pastor of the 3000 member First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio. Reverend Kannwischer previously served as an Associate Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church of Houston and as Senior Pastor of the Central Presbyterian Church of Summit, NJ. He has a business degree from Trinity University, where he currently serves as a member of the board of trustees, as well as his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. He is currently finishing doctoral work from Fuller Seminary in Southern California. |

Reverend Sam Todd — Dean of the Iona School, where he prepares students for the Vocational Diaconate and the Bi-vocational Priesthood. Educated at Harvard College and Union Theological Seminary and ordained to the Episcopal priesthood in New York City in 1966, Rev. Todd has served in parishes and schools in New York, Mexico, and Texas. |

Ad Deum Dance Company – a professional Houston, Texas based contemporary/modern dance company founded and directed by Randall Flinn. The company is comprised of dancers that have found home in Houston from all across the globe. Dramatic passion, flowing grace and fierce athleticism abound as these artists explore the mysteries of faith, grace, beauty and redemption through the freedom created by God for the expressions of the human body, soul and spirit.
Randall Flinn, Founder and Artistic Director of Ad Deum Dance Company, has served on the artistic faculty for Houston Ballet Academy, Project Dance NYC, and as an artist-in-residence for The High School for Performing Arts, Ballet Magnificat, Belhaven College and Youth With A Mission. As a lecturer, he has addressed many artists on the topic of “Servant Artistry.” He is now celebrating the grace of twenty five years as a Believer-artist. |
