\"\"Rowan Willams, former Archbishop of Canterbury–and now Master of Magdalene, C.S.Lewis\u2019s old college at Cambridge–has recently written a book about the Chronicles of Narnia<\/em>, entitled The Lion’s World<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 This is one of several books this year about Lewis, along with, among others, Alister McGrath’s\u00a0C. S. Lewis – A Life: Eccentric Genius, Reluctant Prophet. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Williams recently wrote an article for the Wall Street Journal, writing about Lewis’s theology and the perception of him in much of popular culture.\u00a0\u00a0 In the article, entitled “Why You Can’t Get Into Narnia By Turning Left or Right,”<\/a> Williams argues that Lewis defies easy labels and definition, and that his writings are still relevant to this day.\u00a0 He writes, “He turns out to be a lot harder to categorize than you might expect.\u00a0 And there lies his abiding importance.\u00a0 He is able to change the terms of our culture wars and to force some tough self-questioning for Christians \u2013 and others \u2013 of the \u201cright\u201d as much as the \u201cleft.\u201d<\/p>\n
