Lewis has received notice around the internet since its release.\u00a0 There have been several biographies of C.S. Lewis, but McGrath&#8217;s has captured more mainstream attention, and was given a very <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/entertainment\/books\/cs-lewis-a-life-by-alister-mcgrath\/2013\/03\/13\/ec08be7e-8b36-11e2-b63f-f53fb9f2fcb4_story.html\">positive review in the Washington Post<\/a>.\u00a0 The reviewer recommends the book as a good biography, and a good place to start for people interested in Lewis&#8217;s life.<\/p>\n<p>In a similar vein, mathematician and author <a href=\"http:\/\/www.evolutionnews.org\/2013\/03\/when_john_lenno070031.html\">John Lennox was featured in a video<\/a>, recounting what he remembered about C.S. Lewis when he taught at Cambridge.\u00a0 The short clip paints Lewis as a humorous lecturer.<\/p>\n<p>Back to McGrath&#8217;s biography.\u00a0 One of the things given much attention in the book is McGrath&#8217;s redating of Lewis&#8217;s conversion to 1930, rather than 1929.\u00a0 We recently posted an article linking to Andrew Lazo&#8217;s blog, where he made a similar case but with additional textual support.\u00a0 Over at <em>First Things<\/em> magazine, a few articles were posted in response to this research.\u00a0 First, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.firstthings.com\/blogs\/firstthoughts\/2013\/03\/11\/redating-lewis-conversion\/\">Greg Forster expressed skepticism about the redating<\/a>, followed by Mischa Willett (a friend of the C.S. Lewis Foundation) who <a href=\"http:\/\/www.firstthings.com\/onthesquare\/2013\/03\/mistrusting-c-s-lewis\">replied to Forster<\/a> and argued in favor of McGrath.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alister McGrath&#8217;s recent biography of C.S.
