The Screwtape Letters: C. S. Lewis’s Other Spiritual Autobiography
Thoughts on the art of The Screwtape Letters, the elements of the story that are lifted from Lewis’s own life, the mechanics of narrative voice, and the task of applying the Screwtapean voice to the modern world in As One Devil to Another.
Richard Platt is a regular contributor to the literary review Slightly Foxed and the author of the critically acclaimed As One Devil to Another, a fiendish correspondence inspired by The Screwtape Letters. He is also the author of the one-man show Ripples From Walden Pond: An Evening with Henry David Thoreau, and has completed a one-man stage adaption of As One Devil to Another. His next novel is tentatively titled The Forest of Nede.
