Scholarships Still Available

Financial Assistance for the 2025 C.S. Lewis Summer Institute

1 After March 16, 2025, applications will be reviewed individually on a rolling basis, with the final deadline being June 15, 2025. 2 Next Application Deadline: May 15, 2025.

Scholarships are available to help individuals who would not be able to attend the Summer Institute without financial assistance. Anyone with demonstrated need is welcome to apply.

While scholarships are open to all with financial need, additional consideration, in terms of award amount, will be given to:

  • Students

  • Teaching Faculty

  • Clergy or Ministry Leaders

  • Artists

  • Those presenting papers at the Academic Roundtable

  • First time attendees
  • Those who have greatly benefited from a past event


Our goal is to supplement an individual’s own resources in cases of genuine financial need.

Scholarship Details

  • Scholarships apply to the Admission/Tuition portion of the conference fee.
  • Most awards are offered in amounts of $550, $1,120, or $1,680.
  • In special cases, awards up to $2,100 may be granted.
  • For the 2025 Summer Institute, scholarships are grants and do not include work study options.

What It Does Not Cover

  • Airfare or transportation to/from the conference and attendee's home
  • Meals and refreshments
  • Materials
  • Lodging
  • Optional programme elements that include a fee

*Even with the maximum scholarship, recipients will need to pay a minimum of $574 toward their registration.

Application Instructions

How to Apply

  • Register Online

    Choose the “Send Check” payment option during checkout.
    (You will not be charged at this point.)

  • Prepare & Submit the Following Materials

    • A personal letter describing:
    - Why you want to attend
    - What you hope to gain
    - Details about your financial need

    • A copy of your resume or CV

    • Two Letters of Reference
    - Preferably one personal and one professional

  • Submit Your Application Materials:

  • Application Review

    • Applications are reviewed by our Scholarship Committee.

    • If awarded, you will receive:
    - An email notification
    - A link to pay the remaining balance of your registration

    • If the award is insufficient to meet your needs, you may decline it.

    • Full payment of remaining tuition is due by June 10, 2025.
