Alexander “Sandy” Smith is the author of C.S. Lewis and the Island of His Birth and a Director of Heritage Experience. Professionally, he has served in positions at Goodyear International,  Lecturer at the University of Ulster, Inspector of Schools and Colleges for the Northern Ireland Department for Education, joint Director General with the International Fund for Ireland, and Chairman of the Board of Enterprise Northern Ireland. Across his career Sandy has sustained a passionate interest in the life and work of Belfast born author C.S. Lewis. In conjunction with Belfast City Council he developed and led the highly successful lecture tour “In the Footsteps of Lewis”.
